It has been a great year for gaming so far but there are even more announcements and releases still to come at this years’ E3. The Electronic Entertainment Expo takes place from 11 to 14 June this year and we simply can’t wait for the biggest gaming expo of the year to commence. There are so many amazing games set to be showcased from new announcements by a 2 hour long Xbox presentation as well as gameplay and news from Gearbox’s 3rd edition of Borderlands and much more.
Well, here are our top 10 most anticipated games for E3 2019
The game was originally announced in January 2017 as “The Avengers Project.” Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, the teams behind Tomb Raider and Deus Ex, respectively, were attached as developers. Since then, a new teaser has been released and it indicates that the game is called “Marvel’s Avengers.”
CD Projekt Red’s videogame is an adaptation of the Cyberpunk 2020 pen-and-paper game. It’s a first-person RPG set in a gritty, vast future metropolis known as Night City. Like The Witcher 3, it is an adult story, touching on drugs, violence, and social politics. It’s almost certainly going to be the most talked about game of whatever year in which it finally releases.
Microsoft hasn’t said much about Gears 5 since its reveal at E3 2018. Like its predecessor, it’s being developed by The Coalition, which has kept relatively tight-lipped about the game. Given how little we know about Gears 5’s story and structure, it’s fair to say that more story gameplay is likely coming at E3 2019.
The sequel to 2016’s Doom, this time hellspawn have invaded Earth and it’s up to Doomguy to put a stop to their literally bloody shenanigans yet again. Expect Doom Eternal to be Bethesda’s centrepiece this year, as 2016’s Doom was a dream FPS for many fans, and Bethesda will almost definitely be looking to capitalise on that enthusiasm
With the Borderlands series celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, it’s apparent that the real legacy of the franchise is that it sparked the whole ‘looter-shooter’ craze that became popular following the original’s release in 2009. Discover new worlds beyond Pandora, each featuring unique environments to explore and enemies to destroy. Tear through hostile deserts, battle your way across war-torn cityscapes, navigate deadly bayous, and more
