The game world of Cyberpunk 2077 will be smaller than that of The Witcher 3 however it will be denser in terms of life and content, this was recently stated by producer Richard Borzymowski in an interview with GamesRadar at Gamescom.
Night City will not have a wide design like the world of The Witcher 3 because CD Projekt Red has opted for something very different. The reason for this choice is simple and arises from the intrinsic differences between the two games. In The Witcher 3, the cities are smaller but divided by vast forests, large mountainous areas and endless swamps, in Cyberpunk 2077 one essentially plays in Night City, which is an integral part of the story. “A protagonist” as Borzymowski defined it, which must, therefore, be credible. For this reason, it was filled with life and built with a more vertical conception, both in architecture and in exploration methods.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be releasing on 16 April on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
