South Africa will be Switching from 3rd March!
With the official launch of the Nintendo Switch just over a month away, Core Gaming Systems announced that the Nintendo Switch will be available in South Africa at the retail price of R5,599 ( $415) which makes it $115 more expensive in South Africa compared to the international pricing of $299. According to Matthew Grose, General Manager for Core Gaming Systems “The Nintendo Switch offers a completely new gaming experience that South Africans will love — we are thrilled to introduce this unique gaming console locally at the same time as the rest of the world.” This confirms that the Nintendo Switch will launch simultaneously with the global launch date of 3rd March 2017.
The product package will include the main console, the Joy-Con (L) and Joy-Con (R) controllers, a Joy-Con grip, a set of Joy-Con wrist straps, a Nintendo Switch dock, an HDMI cable and an AC adapter. The price does not include any games even though The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will launch on the same day.
Core Group ‘s Nintendo Switch Pre-Launch Event
For those who are not sure about the Nintendo Switch and it’s exorbitant pricing, you can get hands-on with the Nintendo Switch at Sandton City.
