Nintendo has officially announced and re-branded the Nintendo NX to the Nintendo Switch Today, in addition to providing single and multiplayer thrills at home, the system also allows gamers to play the same title wherever and whenever they choose. With the added portability of the system it now adds to the power of a home gaming system to enable new video game play styles.
Some of the publishers and developers have already announced support for the Nintendo Switch system. Developers and publishers such as Activision, Ubisoft, Bethesda and Electronic Arts to name a few.
NVIDIA Tegra GPU processor to power the Nintendo Switch
Nvidia have also announced that the Nintendo Switch will be powered by the performance of the custom Tegra processor. The NVIDIA GPU is based on the same architecture as the world’s top-performing GeForce gaming graphics cards.
The gaming experience is also supported by custom NVIDIA software, custom changes include a revamped physics engine, new libraries and advanced game tools. NVIDIA have also created gaming APIs to enjoy and increase overall performance. The newest API, NVN, was designed specifically to bring lightweight, fast gaming to everyone.
NVIDIA have optimized both hardware and software for gaming at home and when in portable mode when you are out with friends.
The Nintendo Switch will be available from March 2017.
