Overkill’s The Walking Dead had an unsuccessful launch last year with publisher Starbreeze starting their restructuring in December placing the future of the game in doubt especially for those waiting for the Zombie thriller to make it on console.
An image from the PlayStation Store posted by Reddit user PirateBlankFoul shows a message allegedly given to pre-order customers where it stated that the game is canceled, refunds will be issued, and pre-order listings removed from the store.
However, it turns out the console versions are not canceled. 505 Games has since taken to Twitter to confirm that the game has not been canceled, purely postponed whilst development is on-going.
We just wanted to clear the position on the OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead on console and confirm that the game has not been cancelled, purely postponed whilst development is on-going. We will share further news as soon as possible.
